Workshops

We offer both public and tailored programs for private and professional development. Our public programs include:

Firehorse Wisdom – Unlock your potential through the Way of the Horse is for anyone who wants to explore the power of Equine Facilitated Learning, and in particular develop their communication, emotional intelligence, relationship building and intuitive abilities. With horse as partners, we cover the key Eponaquest concepts of understanding the messages behind emotion, tapping into your intuition and using your body deliberately as a sensing device to provide new information and expand your awareness. We also explore the power of setting clear boundaries together with the impact of thought patterns, beliefs and behaviours on communication styles and relationships with the aim of helping you to access a more authentic, creative and trustworthy presence.

Firehorse Connection/The Tao of Equus Essentials – New ways to connect and build trust with your horse is aimed at anyone wanting to rebuild the lines of communication and build better, more trusting relationships with horses. The key question here is “Who am I being in this moment and how does it affect my relationship with my horse?” The workshop encourages you to build new and different relationships with horses by helping you to understand the link between how you are being and what you are seeing and experiencing with your horse. The workshop helps participants to access their intuition, tap into and use their emotions as information. It also provides tools and approaches to improve communications skills, build trust and gain confidence. A focus on setting clear boundaries and understanding how to work with energy boundaries also helps to improve their horse-human relationships.

Firehorse Transformation – The art of deliberate change is our signature course aimed at anyone wanting to make deliberate – and perhaps overdue – changes in your life.  Maybe you feel stuck but can’t quite take the steps you need to shake things up. This workshop helps you understand the process of making change, coping with uncertainty and forging new beginnings. It addresses concepts such as fear of the unknown, vulnerability, sadness and frustration. It also looks at ways we commonly sabotage our best intentions and helps you develop the awareness needed to understand how your own patterns of behaviour hold you back. Firehorse Transformation blends Eponaquest concepts with academic and spiritual approaches so that you develop skills on many levels. Once again, horses are our guides and partners in this program. More details will be available in the near future, but if you are interested in this program, please contact us here.

Products

Set against the backdrop of the 2009 Victorian Black Saturday bushfires, in The Flipside of Misfortune Karen Curnow vividly recounts the events of that hot and windy day in February, seen through the eyes of someone who survived but lost her house, all her belongings and three of her much loved animals.  While the book tells the story of Karen’s escape, it focusses on the emotional aftermath of the fire and what it means to survive a disaster – to lose almost everything, to come close to losing your life and then to move on with a new sense of purpose.
